Accessibility Statement
Last updated January 2026
Home Repair One is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities and those using assistive technology. Our audience spans a wide age range, so accessible, legible design is core to how we build — not an afterthought.
Conformance target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive disabilities, and more usable for everyone.
What we do
- Large, high-contrast text (17–18px body) that meets or exceeds AA contrast ratios for readability.
- Keyboard-navigable controls with a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link.
- Generous tap targets (at least 48px) for touch and motor accessibility.
- Respect for the "reduce motion" system preference, with transitions reduced to instant swaps.
- Semantic HTML structure — landmarks, ordered headings, labeled forms, and descriptive alt text — for assistive technology.
- Estimates and prices shown as real text (not images), so screen readers and zoom read them correctly.
Assessment & technologies
We evaluate accessibility through a mix of automated checks and manual review, including keyboard-only navigation and screen-reader spot checks. The site relies on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; where JavaScript enhances an experience, core content and the ability to reach a pro remain available.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Where we identify a barrier, we prioritize a fix. If a specific page or control is not working for you, please tell us — a direct report is often the fastest path to a fix, and we can help you complete your request in the meantime by phone.
Feedback & contact
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment. If you encounter any barrier using this site, email us at support@homerepairone.com or reach us through our contact page, and we will work to resolve it promptly and provide the information or service you need in an accessible way.
