Privacy Policy
Last updated January 2026
Home Repair One ("we," "us," "our") operates a home-services referral website. This policy explains what we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and the estimator tool. You are never required to provide contact information to see an estimate.
Information we collect
- Project details you enter. The trade, scope, timeline, ownership, and ZIP code you provide to the estimator. This alone does not identify you.
- Contact details you submit. If you choose to be matched, your name, phone number, and email address, plus your consent record (a timestamp and IP address captured when you check the consent box).
- Technical and usage data. Standard analytics and advertising-attribution data — IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and marketing parameters such as UTM tags and click identifiers (for example, a Google Click ID) — collected via cookies and similar technologies.
How we use your information
- To generate your instant, non-binding price range.
- To match you with one qualified local pro when you request it, and to share the details you authorize with that pro so they can contact you.
- To operate, secure, analyze, and improve the site and our matching.
- To measure advertising and, where permitted, to reach you about your request. We do not use your project details to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
How we share information
When you request a match, we share the information you submit with the one pro you authorize, so they can contact you about your job. We also use service providers (such as hosting, analytics, and communications vendors) who process data on our behalf under contract. We do not sell your personal information to lead-resale networks. See Do Not Sell or Share My Info for your opt-out choices and How We Make Money for our compensation model.
Consent & communications
By submitting a match request, you expressly consent to be contacted by the specific pro you authorize by phone, text (SMS), or email, including via automated technology, at the number you provide. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts at any time. See our full TCPA consent disclosure.
Cookies & analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site function, analytics, and advertising attribution. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing where applicable.
Data retention
We keep project and contact data only as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations (including consent recordkeeping), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, after which we delete or de-identify it. Technical logs are kept for a shorter period.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the California CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To exercise them, see Do Not Sell or Share My Info or contact us. We will verify and respond as required by law.
Children's privacy
The site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "last updated" date above, and material changes take effect when posted.
