Concrete & Masonry FAQ

How much does concrete work cost?

Concrete flatwork typically runs $6–$15 per square foot depending on finish, so a small pad to a full driveway spans a wide range. Stamped and colored finishes cost more than a plain broom finish. Our estimator ranges it by area.

Why does concrete crack, and can it be prevented?

Concrete cracks from shrinkage, a poor base, or no control joints. A pro compacts the base, reinforces where needed, and cuts control joints so cracking happens along planned lines you won't notice.

How long before I can use new concrete?

You can usually walk on it in a day or two and drive on it after about a week, but full cure strength takes around 28 days. A pro will tell you when it's safe for your specific pour.
